Unity 4.0.1 doesn't start--Mac

I’ve just downloaded and installed Unity 4.0.1 for OS X. The installation went fine, but when I click to launch the application, it pops a small-ish, square black window and nothing else. The top bar shows Unity running, but doesn’t have the usual columns of stuff-just “Unity–File—Edit—Window–Help” and everything in the sub-listings is missing or grayed out. The only option for doing anything is Edit>Close.

Using a MacBook Pro with 8GB RAM, and OSX 10.8.2

Tried deleting the application and re-installing a couple of times with the same result.

i really think you should just phone them, they are quite helpful.

are you aware you should be seeing A PROJECT WIZARD

when you launch Unity. That is ALL you should see.

it’s not just that you’re missing this behind a window or something right ?

(You should also see a network alert, since Unity potentially needs incoming connections from various things such as the “remote iOS App”.)

once again all you should see when you launch Unity is a project wizard, and you’ll have to select make new project on that.

Hope it helps
