Unity 4.1 and Linux

Hi,

I just installed Ubuntu 12.10 , and I’m unable to execute anything Unity made on it.
I right click on the executable icon, and choose the “Allow executing file as program” on the properties, but once I double click on the icon, nothing happens, no error, no nothing.
Is there anything special we must do to run the games on Linux ?
Does the games need to be on some pre-defined folder ?

p.s. I’m a Linux newbie.

Try running it from the terminal as root.
It should work. :slight_smile:

You mean, running from the command line (ALT-F2) ?

If you have 64-bit Ubuntu 12.10, it won’t run 32-bit executables. You need to choose the combo binary from the drop-down list. Unity will create two executables in this case – one for 32 bit, and one for 64 bit systems.
