Unity 4.1: What to do if you cant get Airplay working with AppleTV

Using an Airplay connected AppleTV as an external display unfortunately requires mirroring, and you can’t activate that from inside your app. The user has to follow these instructions:

I don’t understand,

We’ve always been able to mirror with an AppleTV. So what does Unity’s Airplay give us?

Thanks,

This gives you the ability to know at runtime when the user is connected to airplay. You can then present the user with alternate camera on the ipad/iphone while the main gameplay takes place on the tv. Check out Real Racing 2, they do this. when connected to airplay you have the race on the tv while a map an progress displays on your ipad’s screen.

How do you actually set this up? I can’t seem to find any info on it aside from the new features list.

Hi,
I purchased Apple TV a few days ago and am interested in seting this up… are there any Unity tutorials that goes into greater detail ?

This is one of the more exciting things I like about unity 4.

AirPlay does not necessarily mirror to TV… well it does mirror it if that’s what you want … BUT also it allows the user to have an extra screen… so for example you may have the interface on one screen and actual game play on the main TV screen. So I am wondering if you could have two people playing the same game… ie. in a RPG one player is the dungeon master (using the iPad) while player 2 is actively roaming the dungeons… in 1st person… Could the dungeon master see Player 2 in the ipad in 3PP ? and add objects etc to the game …

hi can somebody help me up with my iphone because i am new to the iphone series.I am not able use all my application properly and airplay has no audio.I am unable to download the application I needed .
