Unity 4.2 multiple materials on same object draw order


Since the release of unity 4.2 the drawing order of multiple materials on the same object is a total mess and seemingly random. Has anyone found a solution for this issue?

Basically when you add multiple materials to an object, previously the draw order was the ascending index of the materials, now its just … random, and its messing up all of my objects.

Please help!
