unity 4.6.1 asset store window blank

A google search indicates this was a problem with earlier versions. Running the latest version of Unity 4.6.1f DX11 on Windows 8. The Asset Store window is always blank when I open it.

What gives??

ok answering my own question…it’s a DX11 issue
