Unity 4.6, Playmaker, Adventure Creator, or 2d Toolkit for animations?

I’m pretty much a novice to Unity but have been playing with it for a couple years. I’m building a 2d game and very much love 3rd party tools if they are needed. I have been looking at three add-ons. Playmaker, Adventure Creator, and 2d Toolkit. Since 4.6 came out, I wonder if there are many advantages to using any one of these three tools versus just using Unity’s own animation tools?

Playmaker isn’t really an animation tool. It’s a little more robust in terms of programing. It will tell your objects to play animations just fine and creating cutscenes with using input is really quite straight forward.

I’ve never used the others. But I hear they are worth the investment as well.

Thank you for the reply! I was beginning to think this forum was dying. Yeah I knew Playmaker was not known for animation, but I did think it could animate through it’s editor.

I’m planning on buying 2D Toolkit after reading a lot about it. However, anyone that has used these tools would sure be a welcome post.
