I use a Cintiq 24HD tablet for my work.
The problem is that in the unity dev environment there are certain parts of the interface that respond strangely or do not respond at all.
The file edit menu bar requires two rapid clicks to activate - as in i cant just click once to activate.
The edges of panels can not be stretched no matter how i click on theme with my stylus. I have changed every pressure setting i can find but no luck. Works fine with a mouse, but it will not work with the pressure sensitive tablet pen.
The tabs of panels have the same issue, can not be grabbed and moved with the pen. Works fine with the mouse.
The same issue occurs with the mesh manipulators. I can click and manipulate usually with the pen, but if I have to vSnap, the pen will not grab and move the mesh.
I have tried setting the tip feel to hard with with a custom pressure curve cranked and it seems to help a fair amount but it it still can be spotty and tempermental…on top of that this requires a lot more pressure.
I have experienced this in both the free version and the pro version which i am currently using.
Does anyone know of a solution to this problem? Is it the drivers for the Cintiq or is how how unity handles mouse clicks and pressure sensitivity?
If i flip the pen over and use the eraser as the mouse driver it works for a minute then it stops…strange and kind of funny. If I recall correctly i have the same issue when trying to move assets.
Also, attempting to drag and drop items into a prefab container for example is like a minigame from some evil mirror universe. Irregardless of which item you click and hold to drag, you can never be sure which one ends up in the prefab…very frustrating.
Here is the software and hardware i am currently using if it helps.
Win 7 Pro 64
Unity 4.1.3f3 (Pro Sub but i had the same problem in the free version)
Wacom Tablet - Cintiq 24HD
GFX card - Quadro K5000 (pretty sure this won’t matter but just in case)
Dual monitor setup. Tablet is main.
Any help would be appreciated…
