I just upgraded to Unity 4 and started using Mecanim for the first time. All if have say is Unity is off the chain!!! I’m so glad I switched to using this engine. it just gets better and better!!!
I gonna make sure I get the Pro version as soon as possible.

Yes mecanim is a great feature. I think it’s better you build your game first and see if unity4 is good enough for the type of game you’re making.
Myself I have been very happy with unity and feel the same way, it keeps getting better.
Worth buying pro4. Learn to do mechanims way rather than the old way.
