I’m not a Unity 4 user yet, though have downloaded it to check out the stealth project.
What I immediately find regressive is the project view. You can no longer select a mix of assets and folders to export as a package, so functionality has been lost there.
What do you love and loathe? Would be interesting to know what to prep for.
you can change that…theres a button at the top of that “window” or section to toggle between the split and normal views. I think this should solve the export package problem.
After using Unity 4 for a while, and then going back to 3.5 for my next Asset Store product (coming soon ), I can say without a doubt that Unity3’s project view sucks it, and Unity 4’s project view Kicks it!
Unity 4 honestly doesn’t “feel” that different, for both good and bad. Unity 3 felt like a huge revolution with tons of awesome new features, while Unity 4 really only had mechanim, which is cool but not anything revolutionary that’s going to completely change your game to the extent of Unity 3’s features. However it’s extremely easy to transition to.
