Unity 4 Mecanim - Preview Pane Stuck Zoomed In

I’ve been trying to upgrade a project of mine to to Mecanim. So I import my character model in, go through the “Create Avatar” step, then import my animations. Then set the “Muscle Definition” on the animation to my newly created avatar. However, once I do this last step, I can’t actually see the animation in the preview pane, it’s too zoomed in. If I don’t set the “Muscle Definition” then the animation plays fine in the preview, but then I can’t actually add it to the state machine. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? See below picture for what I’m talking about:

I figured it out… I tried re-scaling the skeleton to be roughly the same size as the size of the skeleton used in the example project and that worked.
