Unity 5.3.5 Mecanim issue

Hello, I’ve had a mecanim setup for more than a year now with all animations playing properly, since 5.3.4p6 & 5.3.5 when two animations blend, the latter doesn’t get its rotation working any more. Is this a bug or did something change which i have to check now?

PS: In the animation editor ( where the animation was made ) the rotation still works fine

Could it be that there’s no backwards compatibility with older animations?

I have a layer in my animator that controls rotation and in Unity 5.3.4 it worked just fine, but Cloud Build used the 5.3.5 and it was broken.I installed 5.3.5 on my pc to test this and indeed it’s broken.
I couldn’t find a way to make it work, I think I’m going back to 5.3.4 and setup the targets on cloud build to that version too instead of ‘use latest unity version’

Same here, it’s good that I’m the only one, I can’t reproduce it in a new project even with the same assets which could mean there’s something that’s breaking backwards compatibility? In any case I’m glad that someone else has it too(sorry) as they’ll be more prone to fix it…

Hey,

I posted this thread a week or so ago. There’s definitely an issue with the mecanim rotation.

Hopefully one of the anim devs will check our post out
