Unity 5.3.X always not responding when Unity Quit in MAC OS 10.11.4

Anybody can help me?

I need to Force Quit Unity every time now.

I tested 5.3.1f1 and 5.3.4f1. Got the same problem!

Hi, Also having unity not responding problems, on the same versions, with latest Mac OS.
The problem is now happening up to 5 times every hour. I have reload unity 5 twice and this happens in any project.
There is no common reason for why this is happening it can be in play or editing. The only way out is to force quit and start again, I have tried to find a pattern but there appears to be none, I have noticed that some times my second screen where the play window resides sometime flickers first before the crash.
Sorry to have stole the tread from you isgbuddy but may be you have found an answer.
I did try to file a bug report but that also freezes when trying to upload.
If I may add ; I do not have lockups with any other programs or if I use unity 4.

Can anyone give any help please?

Hi there!

I have same issue and it makes me crazy…

I can’t figure out why does it happens. Some times Unity stops responding right after I saved script (c#) in Sublime (may be Sublime is an issue… But I’v tested in monodevelop - same results).

Have somebody faced with such issue? Unity guys, pleas take a look at this thread.

PS. Also I’v noticed that some times some of my prefabs drops setting… but may be it is not related.
PPS. I’m using Unity 5.4.0f2 on OS X El Capitan 10.11.6

Hi folks!

I’ve finally figured out what’s happening. Maybe this post will help somebody.
I’m using Sublime as script editor, it’s more convenient for me.

So… symptoms:
Unity becomes non-responding suddenly. Sometimes it happens right after I start it, sometimes after pressing play button. Other times it becomes non-responding after I saved changes in scripts, but it happens rarely, also in this case
Sublime becomes non-responding too!

Last fact gave me an idea that something bad happening with auto reload in Unity.
So I disable “Auto Refresh” option in preferences

Also I’ve disabled “Editor Attaching” option.

And voila! It’s working as expected, no “non-responding” behaviour since this!
I’m back to unity fans now
