Unity 5 Editor cannot be launched (license server error)

Unable to launch Unity 5.0.0f4 Editor
the following message appears during startup:

“There was a problem communicating with the license server. Would you like to do manual activation instead.”

I tried to install on another PC. The result is same- not working. I asked another developer to install it same result. I tried version 5.6.7f1 but it didn’t start either

I also tried: restarting pc, reinstalling Unity with and without Unity Hub, firewall off ,running from the administrator, it didn’t help

Manual activation does not work because I have a personal version of Unity

Tested and these versions working on my pc
Unity 2017.1.3f1
Unity 2022.3.41f1

plz help

Same issue for me

fix found

  1. Remove license files from C:\ProgramData\Unity
  2. Install Unity 5.6.7f1 (64-bit)
  3. Run Unity 5.6.7f1 (64-bit) and reactivate license (it will create license files for 5* versions)
  4. Run Unity 5.0.0f4

I have the same problem, could you tell me exactly the path of the license that needs to be deleted?
I have tried it before but then it wouldn’t even let me open the unity hub,
I would like to recover a program that I made 9 years ago.
My license type is free and I can’t do the manual activation either since they don’t give you a serial number.
Thank you.

you can find the serials here
