Hello. I tested the new technology The GPU Resident Drawer with Unity 6. It works great. However, the documentation says that:
The GPU Resident Drawer works only with the following: Graphics APIs and platforms that support compute shaders, except OpenGL ES.
Does this mean that this technology will only work on Android devices with the Vulkan Graphics API?
How will the game behave on devices with OpenGL?
Does this mean that the technology is not suitable for mass mobile games at the moment?

It’s already been nearly 10 years since Vulkan was released. Over the years, many graphics drivers have started supporting it, and now most graphics drivers support Vulkan.
Check the distribution dashboard on the Android Developer page. Currently, only 15% of devices do not support Vulkan. How many of that 15% do you think are actually used for gaming?
What exactly does “mass mobile game” mean? I’d like to know which games were being referred to as mass mobile games.
