I couldn’t find much of anything on Google which makes me wonder if I’m just going nuts or something, but starting with Unity 6 whenever I start the editor from the Hub a second completely black window is opened in addition to the editor.
Why?
This is frustrating because it makes it so I can’t just click on the taskbar icon to switch to the editor if I want.
It should close itself or never show at all.
Is Unity hub up to date? Does it happen when you use the latest Unity 6 version? Does it happen if you delete the Library folder to import everything again?
Did you try turning it off and on again?
Might help. Never seen the window getting stuck. Do check if perhaps antivirus is interfering.

I mean I’ve opened the editor hundreds of times since U6 alpha and it has done it every single time.
So I’m on .31 and I see there is a .33 now so I’ll try that one. But this has been consistent ever since the early alphas for me. I thought it was normal until I saw no one talking about it.
I’ve also never had it, so then it’s likely an issue with the launch process on your PC somewhere
