hey guys… i’m making a video game and put a lot of work into it… but for some reason unity will not open anymore… i did not even do anything wrong tho it just doesn’t work
Re-install, might fix the problem, if not then it is a problem with the default project it is opening, and heaven help me I don’t remember the key you have to hold down when opening Unity to make it open with a select project or blank project with 2.6
iv re downloaded it 4 times lol and its alt key
Try removing registry keys (CCleaner) after uninstalling and before reinstalling ?
it maybe some conflicting project which is try to open on start up, i think theres a way to load it without opening a project by default but i dont remember the hotkey, maybe its pressing command,
other is probably deleting unity by hand from apps folder and maybe from your users library folder, poke around there should be a file which specifies unity settings
clearly CCleaner is for windows , he is having problems with unity on OSX, OSX doesnt have a registry, it stores apps setting in individual files in the system wide and user wide library folders
Any equivalent for Mac ? Or could he erase them all by himself ?
I had a similar problem. It looks like holding down the option/alt key on a Mac while clicking the unity icon to load it will bring up the project selection window rather than the last project.
