Hi,
Currently I am using Unity 5.5.2.
I am using Unity Ads in my game, and my app’s initial install size is 110 MB. But every time I launch my app and close it, I find that its size increases a little bit (round 3-4 MB).
I don’t even watch the ads, and it seems like the initialization of the Unity Ads module keep eating more disk space on the mobile device. So the app size grows infinitely, and it can go up to several times of the initial install size, which is not acceptable.
Does anyone know a solution to this issue, or did I mis-configurate anything?
Hi,
Correct, Unity Ads SDK is caching videos on the device to avoid buffering/streaming issues while playing the video (as this causes worse experience for the user watching the ad)
However we have a limit of 50GB cached content on the device, so you shouldn’t see an increase larger than 50 MB.

Umm, I noticed that my app size go from 110mb to 700mb+ yesterday.
I will give it a try and let you know the result.
You are right, we had an issue with caching in earlier SDK versions. Can you upgrade to Unity 5.5.3 or use latest Ads SDK from Unity Asset Store - The Best Assets for Game Making ?
Thanks,
Rasmus
I just check and the Unity Ads sdk version is 2.0.8 in the Unity 5.5.2p2.
Is it the ok version of Unity Ads, or do I need to upgrade to Unity 5.5.4 where the Ads sdk version is 2.1.0
