Since about 14:30 (BST) we started receiving hundreds of crash reports on all of our iOS apps and games.
This is happening in apps/games with several different versions of Unity Ads, from the most recent one 4.12.2 to 2 year old versions.
We have since disabled Ad Serving from Unity Ads to avoid the crashes.
Is there an ongoing outage from Unity Ads or a change was pushed that broke something?
Here is one of the now thousands of crash reports: Context – share whatever you see with others in seconds

There is an issue for now with Cloud Diagnostics: https://status.unity.com/
Since this service helps devs collect player feedback and report on data errors, such as freezes, crashes, and other bugs, then this may suit for your case.
Thank you for the information, it seems to be resolved now.
I’ll try to enable Unity Ads to see if the issue has gone way.

I wanted to follow up here and let you know what happened.
A code change affecting the Unity Ads SDK was released to production, which caused iOS apps to crash when the Unity Ads SDK versions 4.6.0+ were initialized. The issue was resolved with a rollback, and the SDK was restored to full functionality.
Apologies for the disruption - I also wanted to let you know we are conducting an in-depth investigation to understand how this occurred and make improvements to our processes to help prevent such incidents in the future.
Thanks for your understanding and patience.

This literally crashed thousands of apps for 30 minutes. I don’t think this statement should be posted on a random forum post.

This is the thread where folks were asking about it, so I wanted to provide transparency here!

I get that, but Unity Ads are used outside Unity games.
This issue is not even being attributed to Unity Ads, outside of this forum post that has <100 views.

Thanks. I am sure our comms team is tracking this and will reach out!
Just to be clear, this issue was so widespread that it was responsible for the crashing of major apps like Tinder and Duolingo.

So, if it’s possible to avoid such a situation, can you control this on the client side? Just correctly process this case on the client side.

I’ll share that feedback. @this-Array there is also an email going out to the Unity partners it impacted.
