Unity and Android Tablets?

Hello everybody at Unity!

Recently bought the IOS and Android add-ons for unity basic, tried it out on my Android phone (It’s an old Wildfire and just about runs jerkily in emulator mode without sound, so, not pretty) and Instead of shelling out for another phone + contract it looks like there are some fairly cheap android tablets with ARM9 processors available for testing on, has anyone had any experience with running unity games on these devices?

I was thinking about purchasing one of these:

Purely for testing on an actual device.

Alternatively, if anyone can recommend a cheap android based tablet for testing on that would be great.

Apologies for placing a link in my first post here It’s probably not the best in manners.

very bad idea. This device got crushed left and right and will not work at all for unity (it uses an arm 11 cpu even in its 2011 refresh)

Better buy something that works solidly instead of hoping that a ultra bargain might work out cause already stuff like the Galaxy Tab Wifi is more like the bottom end (others use phone gpus on the tablet resolutions which does barely, if at all, give you fluent framerates already on simplest scenes)

If it costs you significantly less than the Galaxy Tab Wifi, then you better tripple check its specs if it fullfills the minimum to even run unity (even when at 1fps)

Thank you very much dreamora, I had a gut feeling that might be the case but thought it bet to check on here first, very glad I did now! Thanks again for the advice on the Galaxy Tab Wifi, will check that out in just a moment or two!

I was gutted when I ran unity on my ol phone only to find it was going at,yeah, only 5-6 fps even with basic 2d gubbins and didn’t want to end up doing that again!
