unity and maya nimation in one clip

Hello! Help me please. I am newbie and I work in Unity 4.7. Can I build effects in Unity, particle systems, transparency animation in one animation clip with the animation of the objects that I imported into the unity from Maya. I need one clip to run these animations with a script. Thank you!

And not the first year I tell people how to solve this or that problem. But your answers do not help at all. You could do nothing at all, then it would be more useful. I read the help, and I did not find in it information about how to combine the animation from maya and the effects made in the unity. That’s why I asked a question. As an answer, I received “go read help” oh thank you, I myself would never have guessed.

Are you mentioning this because you want a ribbon or something? Your own perceived worth and experience in general animation has ZERO relevance to game development - so whats your point?

Great - so as someone with experience in CG - you KNOW you OFTEN have to research and prototyping subjects to find solutions to a tasks that you have not done before. Right?

Partially because you speak a different language so that is forgiven, but mostly - you do not know HOW to ask the question because you haven’t tried to do what you are asking about, so you lack the experience enough to ask the question the right way. I’m trying to help you - you need to perform your own research and gain some hands on experience before asking a question so the question will make sense when you know HOW to ask it correctly.

Documentation is not the only place to receive information from. You need to perform additional research and TRY to do the things you are asking about. Only then will you know how to ask the questions, and also might even find a couple solutions to the questions you are asking. Research is not just reading the documents. It’s actually prototyping as well.

You need one clip to run these animations with a script? This also does not make sense - but I’ll try to guess what you mean. You want one clip of animations and it will be controlled by a script? This is really the most basic beginner question that anyone who takes 5 minutes to ACTUALLY try to do what you are asking in the engine - will be able to answer themselves. In other words - Yes - this is kind of how Unity works - out of the box and you will experience it in about 5 minutes of hands on experience working with the animation system in the editor.

So again - perform your own research and prototype testing so you can answer these questions yourself - short answer - yes all you ask about is doable in Unity - except that middle part about the transparency animation (maybe sprites??) which can’t be answered until you are able to ask that question with more knowledge.
