Unity and Vive on MAC with eGPU

Hi

I have eGPU Nvidia Titan running on Mac.
I cannot make Unity run Vive content. I am using latest 2017.3 version and Latest Steam plugin.

One warning I receive is:

Plugins: Couldn’t open /Applications/Unity/Unity.app/Contents/UnityExtensions/Unity/VR/OSXUniversal/OVRPlugin.bundle/Contents/MacOS/OVRPlugin, error: dlopen(/Applications/Unity/Unity.app/Contents/UnityExtensions/Unity/VR/OSXUniversal/OVRPlugin.bundle/Contents/MacOS/OVRPlugin, 2): Library not loaded: @rpath/LibOVRRT_0.framework/Versions/5/LibOVRRT_0
Referenced from: /Applications/Unity/Unity.app/Contents/UnityExtensions/Unity/VR/OSXUniversal/OVRPlugin.bundle/Contents/MacOS/OVRPlugin
Reason: image not found

Any idea how to make it work? Is it even supported?
Thanks!

Hey tomi-trescak, did you find a solution for this? We are planning to upgrade our mac’s with same configuration (eGPU + titan Nvidia) for Unity. But with latest High Sierra update and information I get from the forums, we are starting to have high doubts about viability of this system…

@[tomi-trescak]( Unity and Vive on MAC with eGPU members/tomi-trescak.365861/): Did you get this working? Especially now that 10.13.4 is officially released?

Does Unity recognize the eGPU at all, or is it just the Vive content/
