I want to learn how to work with Unity and Wwise integration, but the problem i have is that in unity i have to construct all the game and that is not my purpose. I want to do sound design on a game already made.Viking village dont work with the new version of Unity. Do you know guy how to find finished games just to make sound design. Where and how ?
Unity has a bunch of templates for games. Open one up, remove any existing audio stuff and you can use those as templates. They are usually vertical slices, so you have the opportunity to practice all of sound events/music/etc.
This is the beta Hub, but the 2.x Hub also contains the “Learn” section with the same content.
And while you’re learning always use the proper Unity version. The version your learning content is in. You shouldn’t chase “the new version”. You have plenty of time doing that once you grasped the gist of it.
thank you so much Lurking Ninja. Last question: these games are already finish right ? So i can work with WWise and make sound integration and all the stuff ?
These are mostly vertical slices, which means they have some basic game play and one or more levels (where applies). Great for starting point to create your own games and learn how to do stuff. Also practice integration like you’re planning to do. They aren’t “finished” games by any means.
