I am a new user to unity and to android development as well, and I just finished making a game for android a few days ago. I went ahead and download and installed the SDK Manager in order to build the game within Unity, and I also have it updated to the latest version.
There are a total of 14 scenes all saved from start to finish in the building window of Unity.
And the platform is set to “Android”, now, the building process works just fine. But, the problem I am experiencing is that when its finished as an APK file, there is no logo on it to signify that it is a finished app.
I did a little googling, and saw that when people finished their android apk file, it has that unity logo on it. I did transfer the APK file over to my phone (Samsung S4 Active) to test and obviously it does not work.
I was wondering if anyone with experience in unity or android developing could give me a hand.
Do you have an idea where the official APK file is saved to when Unity is done building it?, that way I’m dragging the official APK and not a shortcut of it.
And what I did was as soon as Unity finished building the APK, I just typed “APK” in the windows start menu, dragged it from there into a folder on the desktop, and then dragged it from the folder onto the root of the storage of my phone. (and I’m guessing that’s why it keeps making a shortcut, because I am not dragging the official APK from the proper place that Unity saves it, but correct me if I’m wrong).
And I did hold CTRL while coping it, and it’s still just coping the shortcut and not the actual file. But again, could it be that I’m not copying it from the right place where the actual APK file is saved to?.
