Unity Android build - "Select Android SDK root folder" not finding SDK even after installation of an

I am working on free version of Unity and have also installed Android SDK - “UnitySetup-Android-Support-for-Editor-5.4.2f2.exe” and have selected android target during build but it asks me to specify Android SDK root folder, which in my case is “C:\Program files\unity”. But same dialogue comes up without any error, that is, it continues to ask me to specify andrd sdk root folder. How to overcome this issue? PC build is working just fine!
Thanks in advance
Anand

I saw that pals are suggesting Users[myname]\Appdata\Local\Android\SDK; problem is there is no Android folder over there; Have I missed any installation. More is required than the exe I have mentioned above??

That android sdk root folder doesnt really make sense, that would be your unity editor.
The android sdk needs to be downloaded separately from unity.
Also make sure you have and sdk and not an ndk
