HA! i wish.
I guess this means there’s no trial… Is there a full version out yet?
There is Android Pro alpha / beta at the time, the non pro was mentioned to happen later, closer to release / at release
Indeed, no Android Basic license or trial license available just yet. However Android beta is still running, and we’re still accepting Unity Android license owners to join.
As a workaround for our s bit conservative policy, if you have a solid list of Unity iPhone games released and would like to get a free Android trial - I am here to help you.
Just email at oleg@unity3d.com and explain the situation. I’ll be happy to share a trial key for you to try to port your iPhone games to Android.
Im a recent graduate with a degree in game and simulation programming and I have been messing around with android development for a bit. I can see as of right now there are no free android licences available however, are there some tutorials specifically geared towards android development? For my senior project me and my team went with UDK only because there was no openly free version of unity available until we were close to being done but now Im taking on my own small project and would like to port it to one of my android devices I have available to me.
I’m curious: is the entry level Android / Unity license $1200 Unity Pro + $1500 Android pro or can you get in cheaper. Like Iphone basic for $400
When Unity Android is given a full release, it’s expected that there will be a basic version at $400 then or soon after.
is there an eta on that Unity android full release?
Aside of “when its done” or “when its ready”, no
or dreamora may be not aware of something
And are you aware of something? If so, why no disclosures?
I want to give it a try before i pay 1,5k for this
As there is an iOS trial, its to expect that when Android is released (at the time you are preordering it with getting beta access), it will get a trial too.
just be aware that the android toolchain is several times more complex to work through than iOS so best get in touch with NDK building already.
Could you elaborate about NDK building and why we need to get to know it?
I’ve installed the ANdroid SDK. Eclipse, etc. and HAve the emulator running.
Now what would I do to get in touch with NDK Building?
Once a unity project is built (for android) we still need to do some manual ndk build?
Thanks
