unity animation import problem?

hi, everyone,
I got one weird problem, I used maya to generate one skeleon animation in fbx format, after loaded by unity, I can see the mesh, but the animation subsection is all uneditable…
my question is, would any one can tell me any tested maya format which can be supported in unity? including the animation sytle.

Have you animated the character inside Maya?

sorry if this seems stupid but its important to clarify the issue as much as possible.

If I understand your question, you are talking about the animation component of the original maya file (at the Project window). You need to drag a copy to the actual scene in order to be able to edit this.
