Hey, it’s been happening to me a lot lately that i answer a question just published (minutes ago) but it takes SO long to check it (moderation queue or however you call it) that others get to answer before… Therefore they choose an answer and never get to see my answer.
What’s the point in answering if it takes so long to check the answer… or better question: How can it be that my answer is unchecked for days and others simply take hours…?
Once you build up a minimal amount of karma (16 I think?) you no longer go through the moderation queue. Spend some time answering/commenting in the Help Room space, which isn’t moderated, to build up some karma.
The moderation is completely voluntary and for various reasons over the past year there aren’t nearly as many people spending the time to moderate, so sometimes questions will sit in moderation for a couple of days. The only way out of that for you is to build the karma.

Did’t know that, thanks Dave. I’m gonna investigate a little bit about karma. I don’t know what it is or how to gain it really but that was VERY hope-giving.
