Is the Unity answers website (http://answers.unity3d.com/) homebrewed or is it possible to download a similar system somewhere?

the system uses a subscription with StackExchange.
However, there is an opensource alternative called: osqa

Man, that OSQA is tough to install lol. I followed a guide 100% right and the website doesn’t work, gives me 500 server error -.-
my guess is you haven’t met the requirements. (or did not install those correctly for your OS)
