Here’s me, wanting to give Unity a go; I follow the Roll-a-ball project tutorial only to be hindered by this error whenever I try and access the Unity API Reference.
Can someone help me with this? I tried to search via Google but only one related thread came up and that was left unanswered.
Now, to be honest, I’ve never seen that before and it seems unrelated to the tutorial itself, so it could be related to your set up.
Can you give me some information related to your setup, platform (I assume windows), version of Unity, etc.
Can you give me some related information? When in the tutorial did this happen? At the very beginning or in the middle? If in the middle, at what step? Is this only happening in this project? Have you seen this error before? Have you tried starting with a new project, following the steps carefully and does it reproduce?
[edit]
I did a quick google as well, and I discovered this post:
It could be related. The answer seems to this issue could be an empty script file. Do you have a script file with no content?
If this doesn’t work and you don’t have any empty script files, I would say perhaps the best solution would be to start the tutorial again in a brand new empty project and follow the steps carefully and see if it happened again. If it does, please note the step and get back to me.
