Unity Asset Store Payment Issues

So for the last few weeks I’ve been having issues with the Unity’s Asset Store … I’ve had a couple of problems in the past too, but with the Black Friday discounts, I wanted to get a few assets but they’ve taken my payment TWICE from 2 separate debit cards, and then spat out an error on the payment page saying the transaction was unsuccessful!

Uhm, not likely since I’m now debited twice in 2 different accounts … I expect better than this geez. What kind of farce is this?

So now I risk losing the 70% discounts by the time support get back in touch with me, and I have to wait probably days before they’ll get around to refunding at least 1 of the payments since paid twice for the same bundle and I would very much like to keep it!

Unity?

PS. Is anyone else having these issues?

I’ve had several different issues with the store (wrong payment amount on hold in account, or paid but not appearing in My Assets, or transactions declined while having plenty in balance and card working fine at every other online store). So I switched to using PayPal instead - since then it’s worked flawlessly every time.

That said, in fairness, Unity’s support always responded (eventually) and fixed every problem that didn’t resolve on its own. I’ve never been “ripped off” by Unity, but their systems definitely need some attention before I’d consider directly using a debit or credit card on their store again.
