Unity asset store website runs out of memory

Every time I try to browse or purchase assets on your asset store website it runs out of memory; either the individual asset pages don’t load, images/videos for the asset won’t let me scroll through them with the arrows, and if I add products to the cart I can’t get to the checkout page, etc. It loads fine upon initial startup, but as soon as I browse different assets it takes longer and longer to load, until it gets unresponsive. Even if I close the tab and reopen it, it doesn’t respond. I have to close the browser, clear the cache, only for it to work for a minute or so. Even if I choose one asset, add it to the cart, and go to the checkout, I can never complete the purchase because that last part of the checkout never loads.

Interestingly enough, if I just open the asset store website in a tab and wait a few minutes without doing anything on your page, I get an “Awe snap! Something went wrong when loading this webpage. Error code: Out of memory.”

This problem happens on my work PC and home PC, both which are high end rigs having 32 GB of memory. Mainly I use Chrome, but I also have the same problem with Firefox as well, so it looks as though it’s an issue on your end.

The only way I’m able to purchase assets is through my Android phone using the Unity Asset Store app. This has been going on for quite a while now.

Does the Unity team have any thoughts on this?

That’s strange. Both browsers have performance profilers as a tab in the console. Try to take a recording and see what you get.

I used chrome and havent seen this, Im wondering if you have a plugin thats reacting badly to something?
