Unity Beta 2017.2.0b7 & b8 virus ?

Hi,
IObit Malware Fighter 3 show monodoc.dll as infected by Trojan.Generic.
Is everything ok ?

Everything is always OK if you downloaded it from this site. Heuristics are awful at NOT getting false positives.

Except the stability of the editor of course

That’s why I said “OK” rather than “great”

FWIW BitDefender is showing another virus on another file. Are we sure these are false positives?

It is common to have False Positives with new unseen binaries, but to be sure, I would recommend in this case to file a False Positive report to BitDefender here: “https://www.bitdefender.com/submit” . And attach to the report a copy of the file “UnitySetup-WebGL-Support-for-Editor-2017.2.0b10.exe” from your computer.

This way BitDefender will have a closer look and inform you with the verdict, most likely it will be indeed a False Positive. And we will do the same with a trusted copy of this file so that BitDefender can fix it for everybody.

Attempting to submit the file to Bitdefender but their page only allows files up to 25MB and this one is 162MB. Hopefully they will get back to me with a method that can handle larger files.

Either way, thanks for the response!
