Their software, their rules.
Try lowering brightness/contrast on your monitor. Seeing white screen shouldn’t hurt your eyes when you’re using on properly configured display.

It costs a lot of money to keep tiny sunglasses on all the pixels to keep them from being too bright, which is why you have to pay extra.
Enough. This particular dead horse has been beaten repeatedly, then beaten some more, then turned into glue, then the glue was used to make a model of a horse, then that horse was beaten to death (even though it was never technically alive).
