Thanks for the help. So it’s possible to get some certifications with another partner. Nice, but the basic certifications like Certified User: Programmer (Unity Certified User: Programmer | Unity) are not supported.
I am pretty sure you take the test at Pearson VUE site though. I have used them in the past to get IT certifications and it is a straight forward process. I am sure things are little different due to Covid but usually, you sign up, and show up at your local test site (usually approved third-party test centers with a proctor on site) and take the test. Depending on the test (I think most test do) they will let you know if you passed or failed when you are done.
In any case, I too find all this information is confusing. Links seem to send you to different sites for learning materials. I remember Unity used to offer study material on unity.com. Is this not the case any more?
I am also confused about the prerequisites. I am looking at the Programmer path, do you need to do certifications in order (because it doesn’t say that) to do the next? How do I prove that I meet the prerequisite? Or can I simply jump in at any point (even expert) and hope for the best?
