Unity character model not rendering after I shrank it in blender

Hello! I have a persistent problem where I will have a premade character model imported into unity which 100% works, and is fine, but is too big. I take it into Blender to fix it, and simply save over the fbx file using the save function’s own scaler to make it smaller or bigger as needed.

When I reload the scene, the model is then simply invisible.

Nothing else has been changed at all. It’s simply gone.

Any ideas why?

Can anyone help? I’d post a picture, but it would be of an empty space where the model should be.
