Unity Cloud Build has some issue

My past few builds were either

  • being canceled automatically,
  • showing the message at the end “An internal Unity Cloud Build error has occurred (Unexpected termination of the channel). The Unity Cloud Build team is addressing this issue, and this build can be restarted if needed.”
  • starting to prepare the build environment for over an hour

But I check the service status, it is all green. I am just wondering what is going on? Is anyone else experiencing same issue as I am?

we’re having the same issue… the nightly builds were all canceled, and the new manual ones from today all get canceled after around 30 minutes of building

Same issue here. has happened multiple times across multiple projects. From my perspective in coincided a notification of a new version of dashboard.

Same here. I’m using cloud build with collab and it’s always getting cancelled automatically.

My other project using cloud build with git however seems to work ok. So I’d guess it’s something related to cloud build trying to check out the project from collab. Logs don’t contain anything useful e.g. “Error loading logs; logs unavailable for this project & build.”

I’m also running into the same issues in cloud build. A bit disappointing that this is the second time this year cloud build has had major issues lasting 24h or more, and the status page has been green both times. Makes me wonder if Unity has any kind of internal monitoring for cloud build.

Thanks for raising this issue! We ran into an unexpected period of temporarily degraded service due to a sudden update of one of our dependencies, causing some builds to cancel automatically or get stuck; this happened during the middle of the night for most of the dev team, and didn’t trip any notifications that we would want to get in such an event.

Hopefully, we’ll be able to use this problem to improve our notification processes internally so that we can help out more efficiently as well as update our status page to let you know when we’re on it.

That said, the update was rolled back, and our builders are catching up now. Please send us a report under Help and Support in the Dashboard if you continue to hit a block here! :heart:
