Whenever I press play after importing the files ClientKit,VRDisplayTracked and running the OSVR_server, Unity just crashes. The program closes and the crash report opens up.

Can you tell me wich versions are you working with? Unity, OSVR Unity SDK, Rendermanager, OSVR Core, Graphics drivers?
I’m having the exact same issue. I can provide the version details for my case:
Software:
Unity 5.3.4f1
OSVR-Core-Snapshot-v0.6-1194-g0c54f5e-build261-vs12-32bit
OSVR-Unity-v0.6.8.2-with-core-v0.6-1194-g0c54f5e-build385
Windows 10
Hardware:
OSVR HDK 1.4
Toshiba P75 (Intel i7 4600, integrated graphics. Driver version: 20.19.15.4331)
Like the OP, when I set up the ClientKit and VRDisplayTracked into a new scene, run the OSVR server, then press play, Unity immediately crashes.
By the way, Direct Mode doesn’t seem to work for me, possibly because I have no dedicated GPU. Perhaps this might be an issue? I don’t know if Unity requires Direct Mode or not.

If you use laptop, you should disable direct mode.
Try the OSVR Config.
