Unity Crashing when opening a project (even a new project)

Hi,

I’m on MacOS Sonoma 14.3 on an M1.

My team and I are using Unity version 2022.3.17f1

When I open a project from Unity Hub, the loading screen shows up, it opens up for 1 second without loading any GUI, just the window is there, and then immediately crashes.

I have tried uninstalled the editor and reinstalled version 2022.3.17f1. I have tried making a new 3D project and still get the same result, so I doubt it’s my project that’s the issue.

I’ve attached the info log (changed the file extension from json to txt cos it wouldn’t let me upload a json file)

Thank you

Try a newer Unity version such as the latest 2022.3 LTS.
If other editor versions work I would not be surprised that the older versions have some sort of issue with the new Apple silicon.

You could try the latest 2019.3 version and the latest 2019.4 LTS version. If either of those work you should consider upgrading the editor version.

good point, idk why i didnt try that. the editor version was working a few days ago but perhaps a macos update caused an issue. will try other versions and get back with results. thanks

it worked with got it sorted. 2022.3.19f. thanks so much!

ps: i had accidentally said i was using 2019.3.17f. I had meant 2022.3.17f, which I edited now. Still, 2022.3.17f wasn’t working, but 19f now. thanks alot!
