Unity Discussions is transitioning from Beta to General Availability

Thank you once again for your invaluable collaboration on the Discussion relaunch with Forum last July and for your ongoing support with Unity Discussions.

The Discussion relaunch brought significant changes to our community’s information architecture, redefining how our community interacts with Unity and vice versa.

After seven weeks post-relaunch, we are pleased to announce that Unity Discussions has met the necessary criteria to transition from Beta status to General Availability (GA). As a result, we removed the “Beta” tag from the site today, on September 11.

  • Completion of Discussion relaunch with Forum
  • Post-relaunch major issues resolved
  • Improved and stabilized user base post relaunch
  • Consistent yet improved traffic on the site, indicating a strong and active user base
  • The site and feature improvements can be achieved through regular iterations moving forward, rather than a large structural overhaul
  • User feedback loop in place on Discussions Feedback space

Transitioning to GA does not signify an endpoint; rather, it marks the beginning of our ongoing commitment to refine and enhance the platform. Some of the areas currently under consideration for future improvement include but not limited to:

  • Notification banner
  • Enhancements to topic creation processes
  • Streamlining pinned posts

If you have any questions or feedback, please reach out via the Web Resources category, using the Unity-Discussions tag.

Thank you once again for your continued support!
