Unity download completed. But the Project window won't open

I’ve installed Unity edition 6000.0 23f1, and I’m trying to start the Essentials Project.

As stated, the updates were successful. Yet, after I click on the project tab, the loading screen remains on the install page.

try downloading an older version of unity, see if that works
