Why is the Unity Editor so buggy!!!??
Some of these bugs are so fascinating, I don’t even know how Unity manages to create them in the first place.
I press play, the game view scales to 1.5x for no reason? How do you do this? I would like to know.
I duplicate an object, it’s scale will change from 1.0 to 0.99999e… How?!! Now maybe this one is floating point precision but still it’s a fascinating bug.
And every now and then, there will be a magical monobehavior script which is so attached to the gameobject that if I delete it, it gets so pissed off that it crashes the entire editor. Remarkable will power!
And the gradient editor. I don’t even want to go into that. If I have a keyframe selected and undo, the first keyframe of the gradient magically acquires the color of the current keyframe. Working with gradients is like working with bombs. You do one mistake and you are dead.
I am happy a lot of the bugs in the animator and animation window are fixed but wait until they introduce some new useless feature and the bugs will be back! Can’t wait for that update. About updates. People are more scared of Unity releasing new updates than they are of Trump. That sums it up.
The engine is decent. How did you manage to hire such shitty editor devs when you obviously have some really talented engine developers? Get your act together Unity and hire some good editor developers. I made an editor for my sophomore year project and it has less bugs @@
End of my useless rant. Thank you for wasting your time.
