How are you testing the VR application in-editor with that disabled? Is there a way to enable it on-demand only?
This approach does seem to prevent crashes, but how do we proceed with testing from here? The XR Unity plugin supported by Meta is still a mess, making it difficult for us to move forward.
Any news ?
im having this issue on unity 2021.3.32f1 out of nowere and im not even using quest i have an htc vive (i am using openxr)

Same, very annoying
dont know if this will help for you but ive noticed that it only crashes if i close steamvr after opening the project, leaving it open (which drains my controllers) doesnt crash which is nice
