Mac OS Sierra 10.12.6 (Note: I did update to High Sierra earlier, but had the exact same problem and thought it was a compatibility issue with new OS so reverted back to Sierra… But still same issue)

[Unity Package Manager (Upm)] - Application terminated due to HTTP connection being closed on the other end.
Any ideas as to how to fix this? It looks like an error with UPM… Tried everything I could find in forums thus far with no luck
Same. Only that my Unity version is the latest beta right now, 2017.3.0f1. Also dont know if it has anything to do with this but I use FacebookSDK and FirebaseSDK, and have built on iOS and now in the middle of building for android.

hello guys, i found the solution of this problem. i also faced this “unity package manager error” problem. this problem occurs because of antivirus. My k7 antivirus eat an editor file, when i restore that file from k7’s ‘Quarantine’. the problem was solved. if u face this problem then download the unity again but remember when u install the software plz turn off your antivirus for few minuts.
I installed the latest version of unity in my windows laptop, it worked fine at first then I switched off my laptop, later that day when I booted my computer and tried to open the unity app it won’t open, the dialog box said there’s an error with the package manager and was cos of a firewall or sth, I followed the path but couldn’t find the Unity Package Manager.exe file, so I unistalled it and downloaded an older version but still gave similar error, I’ve tried everything on forums and I’m starting to think the problem is with my laptop. Please I need an immediate response thanks!
Hi @adeleye ,
There are several things that you could possibly try:
Make sure that Unity is allowed through your Windows Defender Firewall
Enter “http://127.0.0.1” into the web browser. If it leads somewhere, it might mean that one of the ports might be blocked by other application which has to be closed
Disable your network adapter and try to open the project again
Install the newest Windows updates.
If the last step did not help, try disabling Windows Defender
i solved, i have to uninstall unity hub and unity, then i clean manually all the unity folders in the regedit, include Hkey_classes_root, reinstall hub and last unity version and now it´s working
