I’m about the flip out as I’m sick and tired of this issue. Ever since I upgraded to 4.3 I have had nothing but problems. Randomly when I press Play Unity just freezes. It never recovers. It never crashes. I have to end its process and try again. It’s like Russian roulette when it comes to this. Sometimes it works fine. Other times it freezes. I’m given no crash report, nothing! How the heck am I supposed to debug this? If I build my game then my game works flawlessly with no errors, crashes, freezes, nothing. So this clearly is an issue with the editor, but how am I supposed to find out what’s causing it.
Are you on a Mac? I’m currently having a similar issue while attempting to debug on my Mac.
Nope, Windows 7 64bit.
Mine just likes to freeze on closing the editor - same OS. It has not frozen on pressing play but it is a bit slow to actually ‘play’ the game, even on a fairly simple scene.
From what I’ve found by searching it’s due to syncing up with MonoDevelop, which I might add I hate with an undieing passion (worst IDE I have EVER used). Why they don’t create a bridge for VisualStudio.
