Hello, I use unity since version 4.
I notice it’s become more and more difficult to configure my game in the Editor^^. Because it’s becoming very very slow… And i have a good computer :).

I optimize my game, remove graphics/particles of the map. I just have mechanics game and i still get frame drop. For example 150FPS to 10 FPS (uh?) just for a button press and some backend code (no more rendering or instancing. Without profiler, without inspector focus …^^)

Unity become difficult to use, i juggle between versions :

- this version has this bug (memory allocation on an empty scene for exemple.
- this one input is not ready
- this one video player do not works on target.
- this one …

Unity is a good idea but it becomes difficult…

Does it occur on a new/empty project? If not, then basic troubleshooting should find a likely offending component. Also check the Editor logs.

Hello Jeff, EditorLoop like picture.
It’s an observation.
Playing in editor mode to test configuration becomes difficult. (version after version).
By the way my project is not new, so there is a lot of asset(maybe unused).

Thank you

I would recommend to follow my instructions, sorry your reply was not clear. I had asked you to test with a separate/new project and to check the Editor log.

Ok i will do it ! Thank you Jeff
“find a likely offending component” I have profile my game during 2 weeks (not so bad i gain lot of performance 😄)
But it can be a component not indicated by the profiler ?
Thank you
