I use Unity3d for 2 years now on my laptop which starts to get old so I intend to buy a new one.
The problem is they are all in 1920x1080 (my current one is in 1366x768), and I heard the interface may be small with this resolution, especially on a 15.6 inch.
My question is : Is there a way to enlarge the ui ? Or at least a way to see how small the font will be ?
PS : English isn’t my first language, excuse me if I made any mistakes.
It looks like there is no easy way to do it. Setting the size of “text, apps and other items” in display properties to 200% in win 10 did the trick, but quite an odd thing happened yesterday. My Editor became strangely small on 4K screen 15’'. So you need a microscope to see anything. I still have a 200% zoom settings, but it doesn’t seem to influence Unity any more. It was ok until yesterday, and I haven’t updated anything. Other apps seem to be ok. I hope they enable gui elements size one day.
It’s a problem with the Unity editor. They created thier own UI system and it does not work with 4K and does not scale. They have had several years to fix this but have not given it the priority they should. With a huge amount of developers using 4K, they will lose a lot of business to Unreal.
