Unity editor unresponsive and blank on the sides

My editor is blank on the right and bottom as you can see in the pic at the bottom of this post. The console and project fields that I can see are unresponsive but the hierarchy and scene windows work as normal.

This occurs in both old projects and newly created projects.
I have tried rebooting my computer.
I have completely uninstalled unity and reinstalled the newest version.

Has anyone else seen this happen? I’m at a loss about what could possibly be causing it…

There are still some things you can do.

  1. Make sure you’ve completely removed Unity before installing it again: some old help here. Reboot computer before installing again.
  2. Make sure your Windows is updated.
  3. Make sure all your drivers are updated.
  4. Make sure no additional 3rd party software is running in the background, that may be causing problems with Unity.

If none of the above doesn’t help then try to reinstall Windows.

If reinstalling Windows doesn’t help then it is a hardware issue.
