Unity Editor Visually Glitching

I’ve been using Unity for about 8 months now and it’s been fine. Windows crashed on an update, upon reloading now unity keeps glitching. Little grey boxes appear and the drop down lists run together. I have updated all my visual card drivers. Graphics card is a Nvidia GForce GTX980M. My computer is an MSI Dominator Pro GT72S.

Has anyone encountered this?

I’ve seen a few reports of similar artifacts like this. We haven’t been able to reproduce it ourselves or isolate what’s causing it though. I’m keeping an eye out for some pattern to emerge so we can start fixing it.

Windows crashing must have damaged files here and there, especially if and update has not been installed properly. Maybe you should consider reinstalling Unity first and, if the problem persists, reinstalling Windows, or reset it?

Hi,
is it possible you are using the openGL renderer for your project?
If not which one?
Thanks
Shanti

Fixed. So I found out a solution, but I am not sure what the problem is. I was searching for anyone with the same issue. I found a post saying on an ASUS laptop the Sound Suite was causing an error. I have an MSI so I disabled Nahmic with the Task Manager and it stopped. Shrug.

You didn’t have this before the crash, did you? Your problem is not solved then; disabling this Nahmic thing might create other issues.

I solved that by disabling Nahmic aswell… thanks DwarvenPNG!

You are correct, I did not have the issue before the crash and I do not know why Nahimic is causing the error. I did however narrow it down to the Nahimic (32b). When the 64b is left on nothing happens. The 32b starts up when you start the application
