Unity Editor won't open

Hello,

I have a problem with Unity Editor, I can’t open a project.
When I try to open old projects it freezes and loads forever and when I want to create a new project the window closes as usual but then the editor never appears. It’s running as a background app but I can’t do anything. I tried uninstalling but it doesn’t change anything. Could someone help ?
I have version 5.4.0 because it’s the one I was using on school’s computers.

What are your system specs?

I have a i-5 3.60GHz, 64bits and a Nvidia Geforce gtx 1060 I just installed a week ago. I am on windows 10 and everything is updated.

It’s running on version 3.4.0 but of course I can’t use the new assests in the store… I’ll keep upgrading it until it stops working
