Hey folks,
since some versions of Unity i am getting the error that after some time of using unity the UI keeps disappearing. Most of the time this happens is after minimizing and remaximizing Unity
It is looking like this:
Right now i have Unity 5.2.1p2 installed, using with Visual Studio 2015.
System Specs are:
AMD Radeon HD 8500M
Intel Core i3 4030U 1,9GHz
8GB RAM
Windows 10 64bit
I wrote some simple inspector-GUI scripts but nothing too difficult. These scripts draw the default GUI and an additional button. Maybe it could be some plugin or a plugin combination?
The plugins i use are the following:
Currently I am using 5.2.1p2 but will try to update soon. My problem appeared since some versions.
Right now my Unity runs without any Plugins. I will answer in about an hour and report if it happened again or not.
Same problem even without editor scripts but I have to add that I had two instances of Unity running: one with the plugins and editor scripts mentioned and one empty project (I am at work and i cannot wait an hour doing nothing :P)
But i would guess that it also happens without any editor scripts and plugins
So it happens even if you are not doing anything? That does sound strange but also sounds like something other users would have noticed. Try updating your graphics card drivers and switching to the latest version of Unity.
Its possible that your layout is corrupted. Try selecting a new layout from the menu (Window->Layouts->) or resetting them back to factory settings. If/when the problem happens again could you grab the log file and post it here or submit a bug with it attached and the details.
I tried resetting the layout when the bug appeared but nothing the ui was not redrawn at all. I try to revert again when unity was restarted and post the result later.
The bug now appeared after deploying the unity project to my android device not after tabbing into unity.
You are getting the bug in a runtime version on android? I think I have been getting confused, I thought your editor was corrupting but it sounds like your game view? What should the view look like? What are you using in the scene, UI?
